Here’s the second in a new series of mini quads tutorials on various skills, this time a useful stopping method called the Lunge Stop. Next week’s tutorial will return to inlines and then they be alternate quads and inlines, to keep everyone happy.
I hope this helps your quaddies and roller derby players out there. However, this stopping skill in this tutorial is almost identical teaching if you are on inline skates or rollerblades. I believe 95% of beginner and intermediate quads skills are about 95% the same as how to learn them on inlines. There are some basic differences in steering but once that is applied to everything, the two types of skates act very similarly under the forces of your body. So, everyone can have a go at this one.
