Venues

Below are some venues where we teach rollerblading. But check with your indiviudal skate instructor for more places to skate. Also if you have any good ideas where to skate please let us know. For a map of the venue please click the appropriate link.

Hyde Park – Serpentine Road East
The Hyde Park Corner end of Serpentine Road, under the trees, near the food kiosk. We meet where the horse track starts.

Albert Memorial
Opposite the Royal Albert Hall on Kensington Gore. Nearest Tube: Gloucester Road.

Kensington Gardens
On the Broadwalk, between Round Pond and Kensington Palace, on the flat bit below the little slope.

Serpentine Road West – The Beach
The spiritual home of skating in London. The car park end of Serpentine Road, near the food kiosk.

Serpentine Road – The Boathouse
A more spacious spot, between the Beach and the Dell restaurant.

Westway Sports Center
Crowthorne Road, Kensington, Nearest Tube: Latimer Road (on Hammersmith and City)

Canada Water / Decathlon meeting point

Greenwich
Enter at the junction of Great Cross avenue and Bower Avenue and if you’re skating its best to enter the park from the Blackheath side…. it saves skating up the observatory Hill!
Travel:, its 15 mins walk from Blackheath mainline tube, 10 minutes walk from Greenwich Centre (DLR etc) and 10 minutes from local buses caught from Docklands and/or Canada water tubes…. 188/199 (get off at the Naval college)

The Victoria Pub
10a Strathearn Place, W2
ICP instructor course theory session location and an after skate favourite. Exit Hyde Park (north) at Victoria Gate (close to Lancaster Gate Tube) and head up Brook Street, take the second right onto Stanhope Terrance, and you will find The Vic on the next corner. Nearest tubes Lancaster Gate or Paddington.
