Where to skate and practice in East London?
GREENWICH PARK
With by far the best view of London, Greenwich Park resides on the Thames, overlooking our beautiful Capital. With loads of space on the park roads to skate, good travel connections and loads of other stuff to do, it represents a fabulous venue for a day out on your skates. Need a map?

Whilst Skate Instruction is no longer offered by Skatefresh in Greenwich Park, it still represents by far the most tranquil place to skate and develop your inline skating skills. Once you’re able to stop with confidence, skating on the designated park roads is a brilliant place to crack the next amazing move or indeed just have a roll around and enjoy the sights. Skatefresh actively promotes skating safely and under control, so please wear safety protection whilst you’re skating and treat other park users with respect and consideration… Happy skating :) have a read here about Myria’s Greenwich park experience.
SURREY QUAYS / ROTHERHITHE
Surrey Quays is the home to one of the best sports stores in London, Decathlon, who offer very reasonably priced skates and protective gear as well as loads of other stuff for all you sporty types. The area surrounding decathlon, whilst urban and not as pretty as Greenwich Park, does present good opportunities to the skater for venues to practice. Its also became the home of Skatefresh in East London: our meeting point is here. This is the jumping off point for all the current beginner and improver sessions running in East London.
