Pariskate
Friday 11th – Sunday 13th May 2012

2012 will see Skatefresh going to Paris to skate the famous Friday night Pari-Roller street skate and enjoy a weekend of skating in one of the world’s most skateable cities.
The “unbelievably smooth” streets of Paris form the backdrop to the weekend and the Friday street skate can have over 10,000 skaters participating each week! See the city on skates on Saturday and complete another street skate on Sunday.
Prerequisites
You should have done at least a few Sunday Strolls or completed our Street Skating course. If you’ve done either the London Friday Night Skate or the Wednesday night London street skate, you will be fine. Street skating in Paris is much easier than London so don’t worry if you still find London a challenge!

Travel
Due to ever changing Eurostar prices, we leave the booking of your travel up to you, so the sooner you book the cheaper your fare will be. We tell you which trains your Skatefresh instructors will be traveling on so you can join the group if you wish, or make your own way there. We recommend hotels in Paris in the Gare Du Nord area and Montparnasse area and again allow you to make your own arrangements.
Friday 11th May. Asha from Skatefresh will be traveling on the Eurostar train from St Pancras station at 7.45am (so she can prepare the weekend with a croissant). On Sunday 13th May she will be returning on the 21.13pm Eurostar back to London. Asha wil purchase her tickets in advance and you can choose to travel on the same train if you wish, or we meet up in Paris. Return fare £69 as of end of January.
The Skatefresh package includes up to 14 hours of guided skating and instruction in Paris over the weekend including the ParisRoller, lesson time, sightseeing and the Sunday street skate. Depending on your level of experience, you can choose from the following two packages.
Brake you in gently – £120
This package is aimed at the fairly inexperienced street skater (in their first year of street skating) who wants assistance and guidance during the Pari-Roller street skate. Your instructor will be there with you to assist you with your stride, help you over the few patches of cobbles and generally keep an eye on you during the 3 hour skates on Friday and Sunday. On Saturday you then have approx. 6 hours of city touring and sight seeing with extra tuition thrown in through the day, as well as street skating tips and tricks throughout. On the Sunday we skate the family friendly street skate along the banks of the Seine before heading home. In total this package gives you 14 hours (minimum) of Skatefresh instructor contact over the weekend.
Paris Whizzkid – £90
This package is aimed at those who regularly do street skates and don’t need any assistance during the Pari-Roller on Friday night. On Saturday you will receive 1.5 hours of group instruction followed by 6 hours of city touring and sight seeing. The Sunday skate is also included.
Rough Itinerary
Friday 11th May: Make your way to Paris leaving enough time to check in at your hotel and be ready to leave Hotel Est at 9pm. If you are staying elsewhere in Paris then we all meet at 9.40pm infront of Monparnasse station. The street PariRoller starts at 10pm. In the plaza outside Monparnasse station, as you face the station, we meet to the right hand side near a little wall. Bring lights and reflective gear if you have any.
Saturday 12th May: 11.00am meet at Montparnasse for the city skate tour of Paris taking in all the sights and watching some of those awesome French skaters strut their stuff. Saturday evening. Free.
Sunday 13th May: 12.00pm Sunday afternoon street skate (a slightly slower skate along the river), but very relaxing after Friday night and Saturday and gorgeous views of Paris, the river and the bridges. Finish approx 5.30pm. Train back to London at 7.00pm .
