I teach both inline and quad skates. I started skating relatively late, after a lifetime of quietly avoiding any form of sport or… (whispers) exercise. But, nine years and thousands of miles later I think I have to admit that I’m hooked.
On my skating journey I’ve felt inspired enough to have a go at most things – skate marathons, speed skating, ramps and skate parks, roller disco, ice hockey and slalom, and I’ve enjoyed all of them immensely. All despite the aforementioned natural inclination toward the sofa. So, if I can do it, so can you! Skating is a marvellously liberating, exciting activity that anyone can master and, with practice, even excel at. It’s also a wonderfully inclusive social activity – skaters are a pretty friendly bunch as I’ve discovered not only in London, but France, Germany, Holland and the USA.
I particularly enjoy teaching beginners and, once you’ve mastered the basics of rolling, stopping and turning, (not to mention standing still safely!) you’ll soon be zooming around with the best of them. I look forward to meeting you.
