I started skating in a small way at a very young age: yellow wheeled Apollo strap’em to your trainers quads: Nice!
I returned to it when i saw Asha teaching in Hyde Park back in 2001. All I wanted to do was commute to work on my skates. I love skating in London. It’s accessible and it has a thriving social scene. Every time I skate I learn something new, normally from someone who has just (st)rolled up and offered a kind word or two. Not something you get amongst most Londoners. I think I learn as much from my clients as they do from me, sometimes more. Teaching is a huge part of my life and the interactions I have with interesting and diverse people keeps me flowing through my days inspired and smiling.

After a very busy season in 2009, 2010 sees massive changes in my life but always with the backdrop of skating and skate instruction (mostly in Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens).
My current aspirations are many and varied, but let’s stick with my skating: I’d love to be a night skate marshall, I’m off to Les Mans in June to attend and maybe skate the 24Hr race, I’d love to complete an inline marathon or maybe two in preparation of my training for my second running of the London Marathon next April. Skating represents a big method of cross training for my running aspirations and it’s safe to say that skating is a fundamental part of my life, I just can’t get enough.
I’m always available in lots of different venues across London including Greenwich, Dulwich and Crystal Palace Parks, near Canada Water and of course in Hyde Park and at the Albert Memorial. There’s also the option of weekday evening lessons close to Hurlingham down on the river near Parson’s Green, mail me for more info… :-)
If you recognise me from the pics (thanks mike@skatephoto.com) please come over and say hi or give us a shout as you speed by.
