Started skating in 2002, I had skated once before and I really liked it, even though I had managed to obtain 2 very large blisters on the arches of my feet and when it came to stopping, the best I could do was to spread myself out on the floor which happened at the bottom of the small hill at the Albert memorial.

So to get back into skating I decided to take some skatefresh lessons, well a lot of skatefresh lessons as I was there nearly every weekend (Yes, I was addicted) which I thought was safer for the general public and myself.

After a year of constant skating which included street skates, aggressive skating and slalom (nearly 4 days a week) I was asked if I would like to become a skate instructor.

I have now completed my level 2 instructor’s course and will be going to Le Man to do the 24Hr race.

In the future at some point, I will try hockey but at the moment I am very comfortable just doing slalom, rather than aggressive skating, less injuries.

I hope through teaching, that I can improve the quality of aspiring skaters and making it a lot easier, for them to progress, with their chosen artistic release ;-)
