This three week inline skating course is perfect if you’ve done any of our beginner classes and want to move on, or if you’ve taught yourself but are now finding yourself stuck in a rut and not improving as fast as you did when you first put skates on.
You must be able to stop using your heel brake but a focus point of this course is stopping in general, using the heel brake and non-heel brake techniques. No hill, slope or high speed should ever be a problem again once you have attending these classes. Your speed and general skating technique will be improved, and your turns will become confident and slick (and good in both directions). You will be confident skating around the park on different surfaces and dealing with ‘real world’ skating environments. Your skating will start to look more fluid, easy and relaxed. Going on a street skate will seem much more doable after this course as your confidence will have improved along with your actual skating. All these classes will be taught by Level 2 or 3 (ICP) instructors, who are more experienced and qualified.
To book on this course, please email Asha@skatefresh.com stating which course you are joining and please provide us with your phone number. Details will be sent to you.

“Not only are the instructors at Skatefresh great skaters, but they are great teachers too with an infectious enthusiasm. They quickly identify your mistakes and weak spots, and supply you with the drills and skills to take your skating to the next level. I feel that not only did my skating improve dramatically over the duration of the course, but will continue to do so afterwards, if I get the practice in“. Rupert
“The beginners course was brilliant but this one really took it all a stage further. I don’t feel like a ‘Gumbie’ anymore and can spot other people’s mistakes easily. My confidence has grown as I’ve learned other ways to stop and I feel comfortable now with more speed which was always an issue before. I am well and truly addicted to skating and no longer go to the gym for my exercise. I also didn’t expect to get to know my skate mates so well and now we meet up and practice together .” Melinda
After completing this improver class the obvious next step would be to do our Intermediate skills (Show-Offs) workshops and the ‘Intro to Stroll’ class to prepare you to skate the mass street skate The Sunday Stroll. To get the speed and fitness for this, try SkateFit.
If you have to miss a lesson in your 3 week course then it is your responsibility to have a ‘catch up’ private lesson before your next class. Ideally do this with one of the instrcutors teaching your course and call them directly to organise this. If you fail to do this you will not be able to ‘tranfer’ your remaining course fees onto other classes. However you can choose to miss one class and simply join your group for the next session.
