Do you want to do a street skate but not sure if you are ready? Don’t have the confidence to leave the park yet? Intro to stroll is a two hour work shop which will thoroughly prepare you to tackle the mean streets of London.
This separate street skate class is smaller and slower than the Sunday Stroll. We use a different route and concentrate on the specific skills and techniques required to confidently participate in the Sunday Stroll. This includes accelerating technique, rough surfaces, man hole covers and emergency/downhill stops.
Note: To come on Intro to Stroll you must be able skate, turn and stop confidenly on a downhill using your heel brake. If you can’t, our half day intensive beginner course will equip you for Intro to Stroll. We spend the first 15 mins of the class revising downhill stopping and helping you get it right before we leave the park.
Knee, wrist guards and helmets compulsory.
To book email Asha@skatefresh.com with course name and date.
“I did the Intro to Stroll class once and found it very useful for increasing my confidence and making me realise that a street skate was within my capabilities. I went on the Sunday Stroll and loved it. What a buzz!”. Sandra (40)
